Jonah’s anger at the Loard’s mercy (Cindy Wang)

Jonah’s anger at the Loard’s mercy

This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. Why are we so difficult to give mercy to someone who did wrong or we think a  bad person?

It’s just because our sin? Be honest, I couldn’t even forgive the person who did bad to me, how can I give mercy? So I am the same as Jonah.

I believe ‘’ understanding’’is a gift from God. I think Jonah will never understand until God arranged for a leafy plant, and spread its broad leaves over Jonah’ s head, shading him from the sun. Jonah was very grateful for the plant.

But God also arranged for a worm! The next morning at dawn the warm ate through the stem of the plant so that it withered away. And as the sun grow hot, God arranged scorching East wind to blow on Jonah.

Then the Lord said, you feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. But Nineveh has more than 120000 people living in spiritual darkness not to mention all the animals. Shouldn’t I feel sorry?

I understand that the way we saw things, the things will change. We all God’s children, the unfailing live are eternal. I can see the limitations of myself and how God want to see we love each other!
